Pierogi

Pierogi Dough

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2-3 tbsp margarine
  • 1 pinch salt

Mix egg yolks, sour cream. Add 1 cup flour and margarine, mix. Add other cup of flour, knead dough into a ball. Let dough rest 1/2 hour. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick and cut into circles.

Traditionally pierogi is mashed potatoes mixed with cheese, mushrooms, or meat.
